TTA Foundation

The Texas Telephone Association Foundation is a non-profit, philanthropic organization founded to help further the understanding of telephony and advance telecommunications as a career choice.

Education and Research

The TTA Foundation is focused on fostering a greater understanding of the importance to the Texas economy of reliable, efficient telecommunications infrastructure. The Foundation is committed to promoting education and research in telephony and to promote the field of telephony as a professional career choice.

The TTA Foundations sponsors and promotes lectures, seminars, and other instructional endeavors and grants scholarships to Texas high school students each year.

Scholarship Information

The TTA Foundation is accepting new scholarship applications for the 2023 – 2024 academic year. Applications are due by March 31st, 2023

Public Participation

As a public foundation, the Foundation may receive tax-deductible contributions from individuals, corporations, trusts and other entities. Of contributions, 100 percent will go toward accomplishing the TTA Foundation’s goals and objectives.

The Texas Telephone Association Foundation, Inc. is not directly supported by TTA member dues. All contributions are used to promote the foundation and to fund designated programs. Your contribution is gratefully appreciated and may also be tax deductible as a charitable contribution.

Background

The TTA Foundation was created by the TTA board of directors in November 1992 with the objective to “look beyond traditional sources of revenue from dues and fees to find extraordinary funding for worthwhile endeavors.”  The TTA Foundation received its corporate charter in April 1993 to operate as a non-profit corporation in the state of Texas and is designated by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
