The Texas Telephone Association was founded in 1905 to represent the state’s telecommunications industry. Over the years, TTA has been an advocate and unified voice for issues impacting the telecommunications industry in Texas. TTA represents telecommunications companies that are driving economic development and innovation to benefit consumers, business, schools and hospitals across Texas. With a diverse membership ranging from publicly traded corporations to small businesses and cooperatives, TTA is dedicated to advancing the telecommunications industry in Texas to encourage innovation and investment to enhance the lives of Texans.

The TTA board of directors, which is made up of 9 representatives elected by the member companies, sets policy for the organization. TTA relies heavily upon the expertise of members who serve as officers, directors and as members of the various committees that lay the groundwork for TTA’s activities and long-range goals. The TTA professional staff conducts the daily activities on behalf of the membership.

To serve the full spectrum of the industry, TTA offers various membership categories:

  • TTA Member: Facilities-based telecommunications companies providing local telecommunications exchange and access services to residential, business, and other customers throughout Texas.
